Low Pressure Kitchen Taps

A low pressure kitchen tap is able to work with water pressures of 0.5 bar or less. All kitchen taps have a minimum water pressure which is required for them to work correctly, so if you have low levels of water pressure in your home, you’ll need a low pressure tap.

Homes with low water pressure will usually have a gravity fed system. These systems contain a cold water storage tank, usually in the loft, and a hot water cylinder often found in an airing cupboard. The pressure in these systems is determined by gravity, so rooms upstairs will usually have less pressure than those on the ground floor. However, there are exceptions to this rule so take a look at our water pressure guide and consult your plumber to ensure you get the correct tap for the pressure in your home.

Just because you have low water pressure doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a great range of kitchen taps to choose from. Our range includes a great selection from a number of top brands including the likes of Crosswater and Vellamo. If you’re on a budget, we also have a great choice of low pressure kitchen mixer taps for under £100.

If you live in a home with very low pressure, 0.2 bar or less, take a look at our very low pressure kitchen taps.
