We've hand-picked these items because they are a great choice alongside the Burlington Avon Exposed Thermostatic Shower Kit with AirBurst Shower Head & Ceramic Handle Handset

Showers are for quality time spent to yourself. They can set-up the rest of our day, clean us up after an exhausting trip to the gym and calm us down after a long day at the office. So really, they're pretty damn important. And if you're designing a Victorian or Edwardian period bathroom, you definitely need to get all of those details exactly right. The Avon Exposed Thermostatic Shower Kit is crafted from the finest solid brass and plated in a beautiful polished chrome that really sets it apart from the rest.

Both the fixed shower head and ceramic handset use AirBurst technology which forces air through the water flow, giving the same power as a standard shower whilst saving up to 33% water usage. They also have EasyClean silicone nipples which make it effortless to wipe away any limescale build-up, preventing any streams of water blasting in your face unexpectedly.

The thermostatic exposed shower valve uses Vernet wax capsules to ensure the water temperature doesn't fluctuate by +/- 1 degree when water is used elsewhere in your home. Two white ceramic handles independently control the water flow from the fixed head and handset, with the central handle being used to adjust the temperature. This valve comes as standard with a Claremont handle however this can be upgraded to an Anglesey to match up with other Burlington tapware in your bathroom.

Minimum Water Pressure

Your water pressure depends on your home's water system. It’s important to consider water pressure when buying a new tap or shower. Buying a product with a minimum water pressure that’s too high for your home will result in poor performance.

- With a combi boiler you can usually expect between 1 and 2 bar

- With a gravity system (cold water tank in attic) you may have as little as 0.1 or 0.2 bar upstairs, and perhaps 0.5 bar downstairs

- With a high pressure unvented system (hot water cylinder, no cold water tank) you will generally have between 1 and 3 bar

You can install an item with a low minimum pressure rating on a high pressure system, but avoid installing an item with a high minimum rating on a low pressure system! Read our guide to water pressure to learn more.
