Butler & Rose 1.5 Bowl Ceramic Kitchen Sink - Reversible Drainer
The Butler & Rose 1.5 bowl ceramic kitchen sink elegant styling will fit in with any contemporary kitchen, and because it's a ceramic sink, it is designed to cope with almost anything that can be thrown at it.
As with almost all ceramic sinks it is naturally hard-wearing, scratch, impact and stain resistant, as well as being easy to clean. It's also heat resistant, so hot pots and pans can be put straight down on it without you having to worry about the heat damaging the sink. It really is the perfect material for a kitchen sink. The ultra-smooth, high quality glaze that results from the fireclay construction looks fantastic and lasts for many years, as the 10 year guarantee will attest to.
Its 1.5 bowls means that you can do two jobs at once; you could have washing up soaking in one bowl whilst using the other bowl to rinse your fruit and veg. The second, smaller bowl is also the perfect place to install an environmentally friendly waste disposal unit, although please be aware that you will also have to purchase an extended sink flange due to the extra thickness of the ceramic material.
Features:
- Reversible fitting (drainer can be on the left or right)
- High gloss, easy to clean white finish
- Stain and scratch resistant
- Heat and impact resistant
- 10 year guarantee
- Please note, waste pipework not included please see recommended extras
Dimensions:
- Width - 1010mm
- Depth - 525mm
- Height - 240mm
- Minimum cabinet size - 600mm
Please note: All fire-clay ceramic sinks may have a +/- 5mm tolerance on the measurements due to the manufacturing process.
Vellamo Caspian Dual Lever Mono Kitchen Mixer - Chrome
The Vellamo Caspian's gentle curves and sublime polished chrome finish make it perfectly suited to any contemporary kitchen, and when paired with the Butler & Rose kitchen sink, provides a fantastic twin feature in your kitchen.
As well as being fantastically stylish, the Caspian is equally practical. The Caspian uses the latest ceramic disc technology to control the flow of water. Not only do ceramic cartridges make turning the tap on and off much easier and smoother than taps with compression washers, they also provide a better and longer lasting seal, meaning an end to those annoying and costly drips.
Features:
- Chrome finish
- Swivel spout
- Dual lever control
- Ceramic disc technology
- Minimum 0.5 bar water pressure
- 10 Year guarantee
Please note: This fireclay ceramic sink may have a tolerance of +/-3% on the specified measurements. This is due to the manufacturing process. As fireclay ceramic is a natural material, once it has been fired in the kiln it can expand or contract ever so slightly causing slight fluctuations to the measurements stated above and in the spec box. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you wait until you have received your sink and can measure it for templating purposes before making any cuts in your worktop. Ceramic disc cartridges need only a 90-degree rotation to fully open or close, and the 2 ceramic plates are incredibly hard-wearing and resilient. They're more expensive to make, but they allow for a huge range of designs, easy operation and simple maintenance if needed.
Whilst it is rare for a ceramic cartridge to need replacing, you may very occasionally need to remove and rinse the cartridge if grit or debris within the water system is preventing the 2 plates from closing properly. Much like replacing a rubber washer, this is a quick and easy job, and will ensure many years of use.
This tells you how many holes there are on the sink to mount your kitchen tap.
For sinks with a reversible drainer (one that can be on the left or right) the pre-drilled or pre-scored tap holes will be on both sides of the sink.
For sinks with a handed drainer, the pre-drilled or pre-scored tap holes will only be on one side of the sink.

Ceramic Tolerance
Due to the natural manufacturing process, the true size of our ceramic items may be slightly different from the size listed on our website. Ceramic tolerance is an indication of how much your product could deviate from the size you see on our product page.
When purchasing ceramic products, it’s a good idea to check the ceramic tolerance before installing pipework, and if purchasing a ceramic sink, waiting for it to arrive before cutting a worktop.

Minimum Water Pressure
Your water pressure depends on your home's water system. It’s important to consider water pressure when buying a new tap or shower. Buying a product with a minimum water pressure that’s too high for your home will result in poor performance.
- With a combi boiler you can usually expect between 1 and 2 bar
- With a gravity system (cold water tank in attic) you may have as little as 0.1 or 0.2 bar upstairs, and perhaps 0.5 bar downstairs
- With a high pressure unvented system (hot water cylinder, no cold water tank) you will generally have between 1 and 3 bar
You can install an item with a low minimum pressure rating on a high pressure system, but avoid installing an item with a high minimum rating on a low pressure system! Read our guide to water pressure to learn more.
