Burlington Avon Exposed Thermostatic Shower Kit with AirBurst Shower Head

An exposed traditional shower valve is perhaps the epitome of period luxury and opulence. Mounted on your shower wall with its intricate details and chunky Victorian style, the Avon Exposed Thermostatic Shower Valve from Burlington is a wonderful choice for those designing a traditional bathroom with a difference. Crafted from solid brass and finished in stunning, polished chrome, this shower set is sure to adorn your restroom for years to come.

The thermostatically controlled shower valve comes with a Claremont handle as standard to control the water temperature, however this can be upgraded to an Anglesey handle if you prefer to slightly more contemporary look. The white ceramic lever at the top of the exposed valve is used to adjust the flow of water from the fixed head. Within the body of the valve, Vernet wax capsules are used to ensure the temperature doesn't fluctuate by +/- 1 degree when water is used elsewhere in your home, and ceramic disc cartridges allow for a simple quarter turn movement for full control.

The fixed shower head has EasyClean silicone nipples which allow you to easily wipe away any limescale residue, and it also uses AirBurst technology which forces air through the water flow, giving you just as much power as a standard shower but whilst using up to 33% less water.

Minimum Water Pressure

Your water pressure depends on your home's water system. It’s important to consider water pressure when buying a new tap or shower. Buying a product with a minimum water pressure that’s too high for your home will result in poor performance.

- With a combi boiler you can usually expect between 1 and 2 bar

- With a gravity system (cold water tank in attic) you may have as little as 0.1 or 0.2 bar upstairs, and perhaps 0.5 bar downstairs

- With a high pressure unvented system (hot water cylinder, no cold water tank) you will generally have between 1 and 3 bar

You can install an item with a low minimum pressure rating on a high pressure system, but avoid installing an item with a high minimum rating on a low pressure system! Read our guide to water pressure to learn more.

All of our brand partners and manufacturers offer a warranty as standard. Please note that these guarantees are provided by the manufacturer, and will be subject to individual terms and conditions, for example avoiding abrasive bleach-based cleaning products.
